About Me

I never really liked school. Except for art. I never skipped art.

Even when I failed other classes and eventually left college before getting my degree, I still managed to get good grades in art class.

Which is why when I essentially stopped drawing and painting for nearly eight years, it was unusual (to say the least). You see, I struggle with depression.

Art has always been a way for me to deal with my depression. It is an outlet, and is often a window into my soul. I can put my headphones in and draw or paint for hours, obsessing over every detail of what I’m creating.

So looking at my art, hopefully you see a little of me in there. I consider myself a jack of all trades, and while my favorite mediums are pencil and watercolor, I’m always willing to try something new. Most recently it was ink drawing (the no erasing kills me!) and sculpting. Maybe oils are next...

Enjoy looking at my art, check back periodically, and follow me on Instagram for more (especially in-progress shots).
